Phoenix Fitness
Yoga Mobility and Strength
You don't have to choose between being strong and being flexible. As someone who spends time regularly in the weight room and the yoga studio, I often hear people in both spaces regularly make excuses for their physical limitations. In the weight room, I hear "I'm not flexible enough ....". And in the yoga studio, I hear "I'm not strong enough....". And my response to both groups is "yet". While I do often encourage my yoga students to get some resistance training in, many have expressed that they have gained strength through my classes alone.
The Phoenix Fitness approach is Mobility Focused Yoga. This way, yoga can be used to help with both improving flexibility while also building strength. Holding certifications in Yoga, Mobility Training, and Performance Enhancement, I pull from the various techniques when creating sequences for vinyasa and programs for individual clients.
